Reverend Fr. Anil Ivan Fernandes, affectionately known as Fr. A.I., is a Roman Catholic priest ordained in 2017 for the Diocese of Mangalore, bringing fervent dedication to his mission. r Anil possesses a robust background in journalism and media communication, distinguished with a Gold Medal in Master of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication (MAJMC) from St Aloysius University, Mangaluru. Beyond his clerical duties, he excels as a Google Certified AI Coach, Media Educator, graphic designer, photographer, documentary and short film-maker, adept audio-video editor, web designer, and Ultra-Modern Digital Bible Quiz and GK Quiz conductor.
He serves as a resource person on crucial topics such as media education, cybersecurity, digital well-being, mobile addiction, social media, digital media marketing, and artificial intelligence (AI). His extensive experience includes conducting workshops and seminars for diverse audiences including children, youth, adults, teachers and parents in educational institutions and professionals and business enterprises, establishing himself as a formator, media mentor, and tech guide.
Since 2023, in partnership with Mr. Leo Victor Zalki (Oracle and Google certified AI mentor), Fr. Anil has energetically organized and delivered around 90+ AI workshops, both offline and online, across India and globally. Currently, as Director of the Canara Communication Centre, Fr. Anil oversees media management for the Diocese of Mangalore, orchestrating diverse media content production. His multifaceted role extends to writing media content, reporting news stories, and serving as the Diocesan Secretary for the Commission for Social Communication, and a valuable member of the Diocesan PR Team.

I am delighted to announce the successful culmination of a transformative three-day international virtual workshop on Artificial Intelligence (AI), which I had the honour of conducting along with The collaboration and partnership with Mr Leo Victor Zalki in collaboration with the communication coordinators of Divine Word Missionaries (SVD) in the Asia Pacific (ASPAC) region, alongside our esteemed general communication coordinator. 🤖✨
From March 7th to 9th, we delved deep into the theme 'unlocking the potential of AI', igniting discussions and insights that resonated with 235 registered participants! Each day, we witnessed the vibrant engagement of around 160 individuals, eagerly exploring the limitless possibilities AI holds in the field of communication ministry. 📅🔍🌐
What truly warmed my heart was the diverse tapestry of attendees! From dedicated members of SVD spanning across various nations to the esteemed Sisters Servants of the Holy Spirit (SSpS) and our valued mission collaborators, our virtual halls echoed with global perspectives and shared enthusiasm. 🌏🤝
